SUMMARY We are currently seeking passionate full time individuals that are eager to cook in a busy, high quality kitchen. Must be a team player, willing to help the team out with a positive attitude, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Jolie combines an innovative cocktail program and a modern pan French menu blending flavors from Paris and New Orleans to Montreal. CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for cooking and plating menu items in accordance with the recipes and standards of our culinary team Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow executive chef’s instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Clean and focused to prepare for and execute service, and maintain a pristine working environment at assigned station A creative mindset with strong attention to detail is essential ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum 1 year previous experience in a high volume restaurant is required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The typical environment is a bar atmosphere with ambient room temperatures, ambient lighting, and common bar equipment. Lift / carry 25lbs (frequently) and 50lbs (occasionally) Bend, squat, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.
